In 1896, human bones and teeth were found inside a church furnace in Salt Lake City. When the reverend, Francis Hermans, could not be located, police suspected him from the start. However, when the details of his life and his history of wives disappearing or suddenly dying, the story got more scandalous and hit the newspapers not only in the U.S, but internationally as well.
