Since Texas just had blackouts that left Millions of people without power we are going to spend a 2 part seriestalking about what happened. In this episode we talk about the cause of those black outs. To talk about the cause, I spoke with Dr. Marshall Shepard, the director of the atmospheric sciences program at the University of Georgia. We ask him what cold snaps are, how they are created, and why they came down to North America. In the Next episode we will talk about how the cold effected Texas's power grid.
