Repentance may seem as an obscure concept. It might be something from the old world, but not for today's modern world. A funny thing about the idea of modern is that some things transcend time. Repentance happens to be one of those things. Repentance, understood in the context of the gospel, becomes a central focus. It is never out-of-date.

Jesus came to save us from sin. Once Jesus enters our lives we will find that we have a new motivation that we never had before. We will desire to repent. We will want to be right with God. We will turn to him by confessing our sins. This is called repentance. Repentance is turning from sin and turning to God by confessing our sin to him. This is the most up-to-date thing we can do in this modern world. Repentance will lead to God's blessing of renewal which transcends time.
