What Hunts in the Blizzard

Two friends. One week in the Canadian Rockies. A blizzard that hits like a wall of white. When Aaron and the narrator find shelter in an abandoned cabin, they think they're safe. But something has been circling them since day one. Something that doesn't hunt like an animal—it hunts with patience, with intelligence, with hunger that's been building for centuries. Aaron dies slowly. Methodically. The thing eats specific organs—heart, brain, liver—and scatters the rest like garbage. The narrator watches. Can't move. Can't help. Can only witness his best friend being taken apart piece by piece. He escapes. Barely. Returns to civilization broken. The official report says bear attack. But bears don't eat that way. Bears don't choose. And bears don't let witnesses live. Some things hunt in the blizzard. And some witnesses are left alive to spread the fear.
