The Blood of Christ PROVIDES! [Full sermon here: https://youtube.com/live/jt3Dxql0cvs]
On this Passover Service, discover how you are set free by the sacrifice of Jesus, and how the Blood of Christ Provide Divine Protection: The blood served as a visible sign. When the Lord passed through Egypt to strike down the firstborn, He would "pass over" any house marked with blood, preventing the "destroyer" from entering. Public Declaration of Faith: Marking the doorposts was a public rejection of Egyptian deities (who held sheep as sacred) and an active demonstration of trust in God's promise. Symbolism of the Cross: Many Christian traditions view the vertical doorposts and horizontal lintel as a foreshadowing of the cross where Jesus, the "Lamb of God," would shed His blood for salvation. The "House-Altar": Jewish commentary suggests this ritual transformed individual homes into temporary altars Mission completed : “Tetelestai”, which meant “I have done exactly what you requested” or “the mission is now completed”. The Ultimate and Final Sacrifice : Therefore, when Jesus declared that it was finished, He was also declaring the end of sacrifice because the ultimate Sacrifice has been made. Atonement was perfected, completed, fully accomplished and it was done once for all. NEVER AGAIN WILL ANY OTHER SACRIFICE BE NEEDED! DEBT SETTLED IN FULL : Whenever a debt had been fully paid off, the parchment on which the debt was written was stamped with tetelestai and this meant that the debt had been “paid in full”. The Turning Point : In the Classical Greek terms, the word tetelestai referred to “a turning point when one period ended and another began.” Thus, when Jesus declared, “It is finished” there was a turning point in the entire history of mankind because at that moment the Old Testament came to an end and the New Testament began. The Cross-was the “Great Divide”. He finished it. That you dont need to start it. He wants you back HOME. #empowerchurch #gebhardtberndt #easter #passover #jesus #thecross #sacrifice #theblood
