When did HIV originate and where? How did it become the worst pandemic of our times? In this film, three scientists from Belgium, Congo and the U.S. find answers to these questions on a journey through Congo and Cameroon where they trace the virus’ beginnings. Their discovery of a medical archive provides evidence how Colonialism prepared the grounds for the AIDS pandemic and how we could use this knowledge to fight the causes of future pandemics.
