Born on a small farm outside of Atlanta, Georgia, Bob Reid always had a sense of purpose. By the time he moved to Miami, Florida his intelligence was on full display. Graduating High School a year early he went to the local community college were he became the first minority elected student body president of a predominantly white college, Miami Dade Junior Collge. While in college and later at the University of Miami, he works for the Miami Herald and a local TV station, thinking he wants to become a lawyer and run for political office. However, upon graduation, he elects to continue the pursuit of a journalism career instead of taking an offer to apply to Harvard Law School. After school Bob works in local and national TV at NBC and CBS. Then it was on to Entertainment Tonight, and running cable networks like Discovery Health and The Africa Channel. Bob shares his career changes - highlight like winning three Emmy Awards and working wth Prince - with his son Sean and J.
