An Amazing Tear-Jerking Read

I have been a fan of Sharon Sala for some time now and love all the books I have read from her including this one. There are two important things to be aware of before purchasing this book though. First, this is NOT a romance. There is not even a hint of it so if that is what you are looking for, I suggest you check out Sharon Sala's other works because her romances are incredible as well. Second thing is this book covers the topic of child molestation. There are no explicit details though, just hints of it so make sure this is something you are ok with reading about. Oh, and be sure to have tissues on standby because you will definitely be needing them!

Now onto my thoughts...

Ellie Wayne is such an amazing character. Reading through her pains and troubles was heart-wrenching and I couldn't help but cry for her throughout the story. However, even though Ellie has been through things no person, let alone a child, should go through, it was also so heartwarming to see her overcome her past. This story takes you on a roller coaster of emotions from anger to sadness to confusion to happiness. All I can say is Sharon Sala has done it again. This story will stay in my mind and my heart.

One last note...

I won't spoil it, but there is a major twist in this story that I NEVER saw coming. It made me want to read this story all over again the second I finished it. Thank you Sharon Sala! Looking forward to reading many more from you!

Definitely a must read with remarkable twist

Regarding the title of this review, "remarkable" really doesn't begin to describe the twist in this book...I'm a huge fan of Sharon Sala's romantic suspense books (including those under the name Dinah McCall) so when I heard she was writing a contemporary non-romance, I was intrigued and supportive so I pre-ordered the book for my Kindle. Wow. This book drew me in just as her other books have by weaving scenes and dialogs together in a way that I have to read the book in one sitting because no way am I putting it down. Again, I'm a huge fan of romantic suspense and mysteries, but I did NOT see the twist in this book coming. Thinking back, there were signs, but you are so caught up in the moment of the story that it is all the more shocking.

She's covered child abuse in some of her previous books so that was nothing new but don't think this is anywhere near the same. Ms.
