  • Alex Tomasso "The Rocket Man" Episode 110

Here's the Spotify version, Bobby — plain text, since Spotify doesn't render the formatting or hashtags, and the link stays clickable:

The Bobby Couto Show — Episode 110: Alex Tomasso — "Rocket Man"

Recorded live inside The Hyde, the speakeasy at The George on Washington Street in Providence, this episode puts you in the room with Providence's own Alex Tomasso — Mr. Providence himself. Bobby is joined by co-host Marco Andrade of Social Table Events.

Alex takes us behind the bar and through the chapters that built his name in this city, from his Florida days to coming home and opening Mr. Big's Pub, and the nights that turned The Hyde into a Providence institution. Then comes the story everybody waits for: the night the portrait of George Washington was taken from The Hyde at 1 AM, the local TV cameras that followed, and how that portrait found its way back through the Mathewson Street side door.

It's a night of Providence history, hospitality, and the kind of stories you can only hear from the man who lived them — live, unscripted, and straight from the room where it happened.

Hosted by Bobby Couto with co-host Marco Andrade of Social Table Events. The Bobby Couto Show is produced by Studio B Media LLC in Fall River, Massachusetts. New episodes, live casts, and community stories every week.

  • The Path Is Through It — Owen Ivey on Grief and Men Episode 107

Licensed therapist, grief counselor, and Fall River State of Mind host Owen Ivey, LICSW joins The Bobby Couto Show for a raw conversation on men’s mental health, stigma, grief, and what Fall River actually looks like when you stop scrolling Facebook.

We cover: finding a therapist who talks to you before they ask for an insurance number; psychologist vs psychiatrist vs counselor; why a grief group can have more laughing than crying; housing and unhoused work; ~200 local providers hiding in plain sight; couples therapy insurance won’t cover; and why “I get it” is only half the gift — you have to tell them how you get it.

Bobby talks divorce as mourning a death, refusing help until he was done, and the dark stretch where purpose disappeared — and why the brightest light sits in the darkest room if you look.

Grief group (free, 18+): 4th Tuesday, 5:30 PM, First Baptist Church, 228 North Main St, Fall River. Reserve: oweniveycounseling.com

  • Working Man Distillers Live Cast Sept 10 2026

Studio B Media & Social Table Events Presents:

The Bobby Couto Show Live at Working Man Distillers** September 10, 2026 • Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Bobby Couto and co-host Marco Andrade @Social_Table617 the mics on-site at Working Man Distillers for a live cast that starts in the tasting room and ends in the fight for the 7th Bristol District.Owner-operator John Lindall (with Kelly, who built the place out) walks through the origin story: a George Washington whiskey biography, a home-still kit held hostage until a proposal, essential oils when alcohol wasn’t legal, then going fully licensed. They cover the pivot from Massachusetts to Rhode Island, federal DSP paperwork, why you can’t self-distribute across the line, the distiller community that actually helps instead of gates, COVID hand-sanitizer runs, 40-person capacity nights, and how events coordinator Jillian turned a blank warehouse into weddings, comedy, open mics, and a cocktail garden. Bottles on the table include Rescue Dog — wheat whiskey finished for their American bulldog Kobe, with proceeds back to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter — plus the firefighter cinnamon whiskey that isn’t Fireball.

Talos Farris sits down. Veteran. Municipal employee. Candidate for State Representative, 7th Bristol District. Door-knocking until November 3rd. Snow-removal failure, Healey’s “they called me in a panic” line, why veterans belong in civic leadership, and a straight ask: if it isn’t working, take that feeling to the ballot box.

    No filter. Local grit.
