In this episode of the Bonafide Man Podcast, hosts Marty McLain and Dave Johnson interview Georgia Baptist public-affairs leader Mike Griffin on how pastors can address political issues with conviction, humility, and compassion. The discussion spans critical topics such as religious liberty, voting responsibilities and the church's role in addressing cultural issues, and the dangers of political disengagement and government overreach. Additionally, the conversation highlights the importance of combining pro-life values with practical support for families and mothers, concluding with an encouraging call for men to embrace faith, discipleship, and servant leadership within their homes.
On this episode of The Bonafide Man Podcast, co-hosts Marty McLain and Dave Johnson sit down with Conduit Church pastor Darren Tyler to tackle Christian leadership, cultural pressure, and faith. Reflecting on his experiences of recent years, Darren shares why leaders must speak their convictions plainly even when navigating the messy intersections of theology, politics, and social change. Ultimately, this conversation is a rallying cry for men to reject passivity, build deep brotherhood, study Scripture, and take active responsibility in their families and communities.
In this edition of The Leadership Minute, Dave Johnson warns against letting experience and success put us on “autopilot.” Using automation as a metaphor, it argues that effective leaders must keep learning, seek honest feedback, adapt to changing people and challenges, and resist the comfort of believing they have already arrived. Grounded in biblical themes from Hebrews, Romans, and Jesus’ call to daily discipleship, it challenges listeners to confront complacency, listen without defensiveness, and continually grow into the leader their people will need next.
In this episode of The Bonafide Man Podcast, bestselling author and biblical researcher Ryan Pitterson joins hosts Marty McLain and Dave Johnson to decode the ancient, supernatural conflict woven throughout Scripture.
The discussion dives deep into the biblical account of the Nephilim, tracking the cosmic "seed war" from Genesis to the Great Flood and beyond. Pitterson explains how the Watchers and ancient giants are not just ancient history, but key pieces of end-times prophecy. Turning to the modern world, the hosts explore how cutting-edge phenomena including transhumanism, artificial intelligence, genetic manipulation, UFOs, and CERN perfectly align with biblical warnings of deception and spiritual warfare in the last days.
Ryan Pitterson talks about Satan's strategy to unite the world

He reflects on the discipline and brotherhood he learned in the Marines, the long recovery that led him to re-enlist, and the mindset that has carried him through marathons, mountain climbs, family life, and service to others. Alongside hosts Dave and Marty, he explores faith, responsibility, resilience, asking for help, and the importance of fellowship, urging men to stop waiting for “tomorrow,” take ownership of their lives, and keep moving forward one step at a time.

On this episode of The Bonafide Man Podcast, Dave Johnson speaks with former Delta Force lieutenant colonel Jeff Tiegs about what everyday heroism looks like: living with faith, integrity, duty, and a commitment to protect and serve one's family and community. They explore fatherhood, leadership without rank, finding purpose after military service, and the idea that men must confront both personal struggles and the challenges facing those they love. Jeff shares how this calling led him to build Skull Games, an organization supporting law enforcement to protect vulnerable individuals and counter exploitation. Both men emphasize compassion, accountability, faith, and bringing those values into ordinary daily life.

The aim of the podcast is to encourage men not to give up. Too many men have withdrawn or thrown in the towel to the detriment of their families. We want to provide examples of men who have faced adversity and have not given up. Men who have maintained focus amid chaos.
We ask questions such as “what separates those who stay strong and those who give up?” “How can men encourage other men not to give up?”
