Welcome back to Reading with Ben! Let's continue the lecture on the book of 2 Kings.
This is episode #08 chapters 17 & 18.
2 Kings Chapter 17, starts off with Hoshea, who was the last king of Israel. Hoshea, who was ruler of Israel in Samaria, reigned for nine years. He was not a man of the Lord and was considered evil in the eyes of God. He did detestable things, but not like those who were before him.
2 Kings Chapter 18, was about the reign of Hezekiah, who was the king of Judah. He was the king of Ahaz, who began his reign in the third year of Hoshea, who ruled Israel. He did things that were pleasing to the Lord, such as tearing down the Asherah poles and destroying the bronze snakes that were made by Moses. He trusted in the Lord, and God was pleased with him.
