The Book of Acts: 18-20

Welcome to The Safe Space!

Across rugged coastlines and thriving cities, Paul’s journey surges forward with unstoppable momentum. From Athens to Corinth, through Macedonia and into Ephesus, his message of Jesus the Messiah sparks courage, controversy, and transformation. Along the way, new allies—Aquila, Priscilla, and Apollos—rise to join the mission, carrying the truth into lands hungry for hope.

But every step forward invites resistance. In Ephesus, rejection hardens into open defiance, and Paul makes a bold turn toward the Gentiles. Then a shocking incident—seven men overpowered by a demon-possessed stranger—spreads fear like wildfire. Tensions erupt when Demetrius, a craftsman devoted to idols, stirs a city into chaos. A roaring crowd floods the amphitheater, and as danger closes in, Paul is faced with a choice that could cost him his life.

Pressing on through the turmoil, Paul and his allies continue his mission across Macedonia and Greece, strengthening believers and sharing urgent truth. Yet in his final moments with the Ephesian elders, his tone shifts—his warning clear: danger is coming, deception will rise, and even trusted voices may lead many astray.

With one last embrace, Paul sets his course for Jerusalem—

…stepping straight into a future he knows will test everything, but not yet revealing how far the cost will go.

Verse of the Day: Psalms 8:3-5

When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place— what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.
