Esther Chapter 8 “Law, Order & Covenant” The antagonist of the Jews is finally impaled. His estate and power removed and handed over to another. How can order be restored in the kingdom? Esther pleads on behalf of her people against the plan Haman had set in motion. Mordecai is given power of attorney to make things right again, creating the first Jewish Charter akin to the Constitution of the United States.  Chapter eight is a foreshadow of Jesus fulfilling the Law and inscribing another in the tablet of our heart. The law created to slaughter a people, now is the law that empowers the believer. All it takes is one word from the King.
