The Book of Numbers: Sermon 20: Chapters 22-24When armies go out to battle, they think it is solely a combat of flesh and blood, but we would be short sighted if we did not realize that war is also a battle of principalities and powers. While Israel was below and totally unaware, there was a spiritual battle going on between Balaam and God. We do not realize all the works going on in the angelic realm, whether it be our guardian angel or other angels, under the commission of God to protect that which God blesses. We are not aware of the incredible protection we have against the enemy. We’ve heard of robbers and thieves trying to get in through the back door, but with God, His protection is sovereign… Balak and Balaam tried three times to get a foot in the door but once again we hear the promise from God… I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you.
