Slow and Scary!!!!

If you are younger than 40 you better prepare before reading this book; you might get wrinkles while you're at it.

Slow, redundant, forgettable.

Between botox, collagen shots, crinkled toes, saggy [...] and gray hairs you will be afraid of aging, and even though aging is unavoidable, I didn't find these characters compelling or profound enough. It made me feel 10 years older once I was done with it. No deepness or solidity I would say there's more lightheartedness and simplicity within these story. It's not insightful or remarkable although something that did strike me as courageous was the way the authors have opened up about the pressure women have to stay young and desirable and how they will get saggy and wrinkled no matter how many botox shots they get. Same thing goes for men; they will sag sooner or later.

C'est la vie!

A fun read

Perfect for a holiday read. 40 something best friends both having midlife crisis and angst. But true love, some maturity and retail therapy saves the day. Reminds me of a cross between cybil and sex and the city.

Tries way too hard....

My overall impression of the book is that the authors are trying WAY too hard to be funny. Literally, every other sentence is some sort of joke and it's annoying as can be! Other reviewers have commented on this and say that it takes away from the plot line. Honestly, the plot line is as weak as the authors' poor attempt at humor.

I really had to force myself to complete the book because I refused to give up on something so unintelligent that it took virtually no thinking to read.

If the book would have skipped its continual attempt of humor, I may be able to recommend it, but then, it would probably only be 10-pages. Don't get me wrong, I love books that make me laugh, and I do have a sense of humor, but this was an insult to those with a sense of humor.

I give this book two stars instead of only one, because a few of the characters are somewhat charming. Unfortunately, each one is stereotypical so this is only surface level charm.

Not for me

It was hard to identify with the characters in this story. The plot moved along nicely, however I found myself anxious to finish the book so that I could get on to something more engaging. I would not recommend this book.

Dull, Trite, and Disjointed

I am an avid reader and have never once submitted a book review. However, after reading Botox Diaries, I felt compelled to write and warn you all that this book is dull, trite, and disjointed.
