Second Sunday of Christmas: The Boy Jesus at the Temple from Luke 2:41-52.

This isn't the manger scene, it's 12 years later when Jesus' family loses Him at the Passover feast.Mary and Joseph panic. They lost GOD IN THE FLESH. They had one job: raise Him so He could accomplish the unthinkable. And they LOST Him.

Three days later, they find their 12-year-old boy in the temple courts, not playing with kids, but hanging out with the PhDs, the religious leaders, talking theology. He's not learning from them, He's TEACHING them by listening and asking questions. They were amazed at His understanding.When Mary says "Why did you do this to us?" Jesus responds: "Did you not know I must be in My Father's house?" Even at 12, Jesus was fully aware of His calling and purpose.This is Jesus, fully God and fully man.

The ultimate Passover Lamb celebrating Passover, already teaching the brilliant minds who would one day condemn Him. Everything in Scripture points to Jesus.
