The Bride tells the story of Hao, a successful TV producer whose life spirals into chaos after he picks up a mysterious red envelope containing the relics of a dead woman. As supernatural occurrences escalate, Hao uncovers the dark tradition of "ghost marriages" in Taiwan, where the dead are married posthumously. The movie intertwines Hao’s experiences with those of a high school girl, Yinyin, who is also haunted by malevolent spirits​.
