Wedding invitations are a traditional part of planning any ceremony. The
perfect invitation matches the Bride’s personality and taste, and of
course has all of the correct information listed. Usually, the goal of
sending an invitation is that the person receiving it will come to the
wedding and the reception. As the Bible closes out, we find some final
words from Jesus – and they are an invitation to a much bigger event:
eternal life and heaven forever. He talks about how someone accepts
this invite, and then He basically commissions us to be the bearers of
the invitation for Him. Are we spending our lives missing out on the
greatest cause and privilege of all time? Will we come to the end of
our time on this earth and wish that we had responded or that we had
invested more in sharing the invitation?
