The Broken Shelf 062: Spin-offs

Listen Later

[Warning] This episode contains explicit language and explicit themes. Listener discretion is advised.
What does a spin-off mean to you? It's an interesting question because it's so subjective. Danny and Allen debate the good and the bad, their first experience with a spin-off, and their worst experience with a spin-off. They go through all media types and peruse the difficulties of movies compared to books, and why some media types function heavily of the spin-off. Tons of stories, and the conundrum of the impossibility to obtain the 'original' story. Plus a ton of "Star Wars" bashing (not treading lightly)! Praise, too, but isn't it more fun to bash something you love?
