The fan-fare end in a somber exit. Danny reviews the final 'True Tenchi Muyo' light novel with a more hushed tone, the perky, rambunctious, loud-mouth taking a break as his expectations crush him. Although the book followed a well know Tenchi favorite heroine, the plot suffered, and the comedy felt repetitive. As sad as it sounds, Danny whimpers there is nothing new. There are certainly some great things in the novel, but so much falters from over consumption of the product and lack of narrative purpose. Fun, but overall, Danny preaches the dangerous nature of spin-offs and supplemental materials.
Tune in every Tuesday for a new episode of The Broken Shelf.
