The Broken Shelf 102: Preparation Process

Listen Later

[Warning] This episode contains explicit language and explicit themes. Listener discretion is advised.
The two original hosts go behind the scenes. Danny and Allen discuss their process for choosing reading material and how or why any book ends up in the review schedule. They both outline their note taking process and go in depth about their preparation before sitting down to record. Other points of conversation are the schedule, the co-hosts, the tools used for recording and how they *don't* have meetings before hand - which they should. Once the recording process is complete, Danny goes over the editing process and what he looks for when using Audacity. He discloses the procedure: effects used, post processing, conversion, and final creation. Overall, if you've never posted a podcast this episode may be for you, and if you have recorded before, the guys are up for any great tips.
Tune in every Tuesday for a new episode of The Broken Shelf.
