The Broken Shelf 111: The Irregular at Magic High School Volume Five

It's a flurry of magic. However, this time the author and the kids take a break from near death experiences. Volume five is an unusual one, so Danny gets a chance to discuss light novel structure and enjoy a series of short stories rather than the first volume of a ramping plot. He goes through each story and then gives them individual positives and negatives. Through the review he points out the author's deficiencies in one area and praises others while trying to keep the critique balanced. There's also more chances to rattle on translation issues, theme, and the organization of the realm in general. Look forward to another engaging and entertaining review with one of Danny's favorite franchises.
Tune in every Tuesday for a new episode of The Broken Shelf.
