Blasting off into space, Allen thunders into his favorite sci-fi niche of archaeological science fiction. Written in the early 90's, this class shares many of the contemporary symbolism of the sci-fi genre, and Danny and Allen compare it to a few movies while Allen explores the deep, scientific plot. They also address the fall backs of a 'hard-science' book, but alternatively they also praise the novel for it's general application. Where do we come from? What's really out there? Can we be more than we are? And, of course, tons of hidden questions and answers. This is sci-fi at its best from the pen of a master and Allen's true enthusiasm comes out in lightning!
Tune in every Tuesday for a new episode of The Broken Shelf.
