The world is connected by many things. Literature is one of the many metaphorical knots that tie our globe together because whether spoken or written words can influence. With thousands of individual languages across our great world it can seem like our realm is locked within those individual languages even when in that language itself can be a never ending mountain of media. However, in an age of education and technology we can make that mountain higher through accurate and quick translations. Because of that, Alexander the Tsar has succumb to a new trend of Scandinavian authors and through their words he has discovered a new world and a new way to articulate the beauty of the short story. Come in and get ready for a discussion of the written world, languages and the essence of a great short story with some wacky tales from Norway.
Tune in every Tuesday for a new episode of The Broken Shelf.
