The return journey through this aged romcom has been trying for Danny. With more exposure to the genre he can see more of the generic cues but that also means when a flare of individuality breaks through it is deserved of high praise. Does the art continue to improve? Is the story held back by tropes? Will Yuuto ever function as a normal teenage boy? So many questions and whether or not the narrative gets in its own way the journey is fun for Danny. This series has been a challenge for him both artistically and critically and that was the very reason he wanted to continue despite some trepidation. Regardless, you are here for a critical look at literature and Danny still gives you that.
