If there's one genre that isn't discussed enough on The Broken Shelf it is mystery. The reasoning being that the four main hosts don't readily read the genre. After years of too much TV they settle to avoid the genre but one former guest does not: Momma Archive. Joining her son on another general episode, Momma Archive plots her history with the genre and then they play twenty questions. This episode is not meant to be an in depth look at the intricacies of the genre but more of a general discussion with a person that has been reading the genre for over fifty years. Her likes, dislikes, what makes a good mystery, hero and villain, to her rather disturbing enjoyment of murder. A new perspective on the old genre, come listen in to a fun topic from one well read individual.
