The franchise has entered Danny's favorite era. When he reflects and thinks back on his time with this series and what it meant for him it's these next three novels that he thinks about the most. For some the return to the school setting will prove to be detrimental to a series that felt and read like something out of the Japanese cultural norm, but to Danny, and he thinks to a larger audience, that is the exact reason Rifujin makes his franchise so much fun. Volume eight challenges the norm of the light novel industry and because of its unorthodox writing style and attention to nuance and details for character growth and world building, Danny gets to have some fun with exploring what makes this franchise so magical. That isn't to say that there isn't something wrong with it. It's been a while since Danny has read this entry and with a fresh perspective he does see more of its faults. Nevertheless, come listen in as Danny gets to talk about one of his favorite light novels from one of his favorite franchises.
