Drama can be a mixed genre. When does something go from the personification of the human condition and either giving in to the weakness of life or the jubilation of triumph, or just plain melodrama. The genre of drama can be so subjective to the individual, and that is why the medium of live actions makes it difficult to deliver. Anime can be the same but arguably it has one advantage: animation. Color, expressionism, voice acting, and the ability to use inhuman elements, almost make the majority of drama anime more human than their live action counterparts because the story can't just be simple otherwise those other important factors seem superficial. A good drama anime is well rounded and can enhance the overall experience because it is an animation. That's exactly what the two brother set out to discuss. Using some of their favorite dramas, Travis and Danny talk about the elements which make drama anime such glorious pieces of art and animation. They talk about the advantages of the drama anime over live action, but also how watching other shows eventually led to watching drama anime and why they hit so hard when you do take that genre leap. Come listen as the two brothers let out some emotion and get a little more human.
