Because of the constraint on their publishing size, light novels advance, usually, at a slower pace when it comes to narrative. In some instances this allows the author creative liberty with their characters because they are the central focus of said narrative. However, sometimes these two aspects counter act each other when the status-quo has to change. Is that what happens in this newest entry? Danny talks about it and discusses the difficulties of building such a realist world while simultaneously trying to retain a sense of fiction. By going through each of the main characters and elaborating on their stories, Danny talks through the changes and some of the missed opportunities, but nevertheless, the status-quo definitely changes, and Danny has been waiting for it.
