Danny and the Tsar have made it their purpose over the last four year to at least expose and re-introduce some of the more refined and feared literature genres. They've tackled poetry, the ferocious form ensemble of colorful languages that has for a long time been the work of greats but has left this new age of readers quivering. Then they went after the short story and how the succinct form narrative opens countless avenues for style and transformation of language. Danny even reviewed a book about the cancer of the five paragraph essay and how it has left generations of potential great writers floundering in mediocrity. Now they take on its parent and discuss the essay genre as a whole. Come and discover why the essay can be and is so powerful, and maybe why it has faded. The Tsar provides anecdotes from some of his favorites and leaves a long list of great authors, while Danny guides the conversation in a constructive way. Regardless, take a listen as to why this literature genre IS an art form.
