Once more Danny finds himself at the end of a trilogy and at the end of an era with one of his favorite authors. This particular trilogy challenged him in ways he never knew and once more he had to face off against the old enemy of expectation - and once more he lost. This isn't to say that Danny didn't find greatness in the novel. Some new characters breathe new life into the franchise, and along side them the final arcs for certain characters reach a worth while crescendo, but at the end of it all what is Danny's relationship with Glenda Larke? The final novel of this trilogy asks some pretty hard questions, and yet it leaves questions, and sometimes, Danny argues, makes some of the previous two books more redundant than he could have imagined. Emotions run high but Danny has to control himself and provide a thorough review as to why his disappointment was not just a function of false expectation, but of some simple failures of literature and writing. This journey is over, so come listen in and see what Danny has to say.
