This week we talk about the wildly popular and beloved Scottish comic strips The Broons and Oor Wullie. We have been reading about the antics of Oor Wullie and The Broons family for generations in Scotland and you'd be hard pressed to meet someone from home who does have a special place in their heart for Dudley D Watkins & Robert Duncan Low's comic creations.

The 85 year old DC Thompson creations originated in the East of Scotland city of Dundee and have become a staple of many Scottish children's Christmas mornings.

We take you through the history of the company, the creators and the characters themselves. We also talk a lot about how they fought the Nazis. You'll need to listen to find out.
