The Detroiter behind releases for FXHE and Echcord untangles his deep, dubby sound, live from our studio in the Motor City.
It’s hard to separate Luke Hess’s music from two of his key influences: A lifetime spent in the Detroit metro area and a lifelong interest in science and technology (he has a background in mathematics and engineering). Those influences give his techno productions an expansive, lab-experiment feel, while never losing the raw punch and soul of great club tracks. For this broadcast from our Detroit studio ahead of Movement 2018, Bunker founder Bryan Kasenic has invited Hess to come in for a DJ set and to talk through both his techno history and some upcoming projects.
