Prayer draws a servant near to Allah, but nearness to Allah is not complete while the rights of His creation remain unpaid. This sermon reflects on the spiritual weight of unsettled obligations and the danger of carrying the claims of others into the Day of Judgment.

Drawing on the warning of the Prophet ﷺ about the truly bankrupt person, the sermon explores how debts, trusts, family responsibilities, broken promises, and careless words all become part of the account a person carries before Allah. It calls believers to examine their lives carefully, repair what they have wronged, and clear their obligations while the door of repentance and reconciliation remains open.
