Caffeine can enhance performance by about one to three percent particularly in endurance sports. It can be consumed one hour prior or during an event. The benefit maxes out at about 250 mg so what does that mean to you? 10-12 ounces of coffee which is a mug or 2-3 cups of coffee per day. All depends on the size of your mug.
