Amira, known as “Amira the Dangerous,” was a young woman who married Nasser, a much older but wealthy man. Over the course of eleven years and four children, she slowly built a double life. With Nasser’s money, she persuaded him to open a supermarket in her name, which she secretly used as a meeting place for affairs with younger employees—most notably Mahmoud, who became her lover and accomplice. As her control over the household grew, Amira’s manipulative nature deepened. She carefully hid her infidelity while plotting to free herself from Nasser. Eventually, she and Mahmoud devised a plan to drug and strangle Nasser to death. Their crime unraveled quickly under police scrutiny. Investigators noticed inconsistencies in Amira’s statements, uncovered her affair with Mahmoud, and connected both to the murder. Confronted with the evidence, the pair confessed and were ultimately sentenced to death.
