In the first eight verses of Nehemiah 8 we see where we get a lot of our traditions from: the call of a preacher, the evangelist, fall revivals, pulpits made of wood, bringing the BOOK (Bible) to preach from, congregations, the platforms in a church (Not to be confused with a stage), the chairs on the platform, Associate Pastors, Shouting Amen (during preaching) People lifting their hands during the service. People bowing their heads in prayer, Worshiping the Lord with your face on the ground.
