Welcome to the Captains Table where we explore the stories that have shaped Star Trek in words.

In this chapter we welcome Roslyn Scoular to the show as regular co-host and we review The Lost Era story: “The Buried Age” by Christopher L. Bennett. As well as reviewing the “The Buried Age” we also take a look at the upcoming book releases and those that have come out already in the past couple of months.

The Lost Era series attempts to flesh out some events that were only mentioned briefly in the TV series and tries to tie story threads together about characters or events within the Star Trek universe.

It was published by Pocket books in July 2007

This novel covers the 9 years between Jean-Luc Picard’s command of the USS Stargazer and his command of the USS Enterprise-D.
