V/. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary,
R/. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you;
blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
V/. Behold the handmaid of the Lord,
R/. Be it done unto me according to your Word.

V/. And the Word was made flesh,
R/. And dwelt among us.

Prayer for Truth, Peace, and Charity - Julie Carrick
Heavenly Father,
In a world filled with noise, opinions, and constant reaction,
teach us first to be still before You.
When we feel the urge to speak quickly or judge hastily—
whether in conversation or from behind a screen
help us to pause…
to breathe in Your peace,
and remember the humanity of those around us.
Remind us, Lord, that every person we encounter,
even those we see only through a comment or post,
is created in Your image
and worthy of dignity, patience, and charity.
Guard our hearts from reacting with passion
when we have not yet sought understanding.
Give us the humility to admit
when we do not know the whole story.
Lead us instead toward truth
truth that listens,
truth that seeks understanding,
truth that builds rather than wounds.
Teach us to speak with wisdom,
to converse rather than condemn,
and to remember that behind every screen
is a human heart.
May our words spoken or typed
reflect the faith we profess,
and may our actions reveal the peace of Christ
living within us.
Lord, in every conversation and every circumstance,
make us instruments of Your truth,
Your mercy,
and Your peace.
Amen.
