Yes, another good one. More complicated than earlier ones (I'm reading them in order), but Perry is still taking chances to find the truth and protect his client.
A Gem!
Mason and Della encounter death on their cruise from Hawaii. Beautifully told, with unusual, for ESG, sardonic humor. The romantic angle does not interfere. All in all a masterpiece of invention. If one would like a sample of ESG'S work an excellent choice.
I love Perry Mason and pulp fiction
I love Perry Mason and pulp fiction, so I'm cool with this. Just remember that it IS pulp fiction.

Great plot
Moves through the story line steadily, and the pieces of the puzzle dovetail neatly toward the end. The keen intellect and insights of Perry Mason are fascinating to follow. The TV character pales by comparison. The best way to appreciate the immense talent of Mr. Gardner - read the books!
