One eye, but no glass eyes
Just an extended discussion of eyeglass lens grinding. Perry has a client who insist she did not hire him but he agrees to represent her nonetheless. Paul Drake recommends a night club where a messenger tracks down Perry Mason and gives Perry a mysterious package. This starts a Perry hiring a bunch of Drake operatives who discover multiple murders who he then sends on a chase across state to track down a fleeing witness. But all of this backfires and Ham Burger thinks he has Perry on the ropes during the pretrial hearing until Mason tells a witness to.... You will just have to read it to find out
Great courtroom drama!
Great courtroom drama! This is why Perry Mason is an icon! This is not dated at all. Very enjoyable book. I'm on to the next one in the series.
