The cEDH Sermon

Is Thrasios Vial Smasher the best Necropotence deck in cEDH? We say YES. Its versatility and flexibility both contribute to it having some of the best post Necro/Naus options for wins.

A review of the latest Magic: The Gathering set The Hobbit for cEDH. Trevor and Ian showcase the best cards and actually find some really good options for the cEDH format. This set seems like a healthy addition to the card pool, especially since it gives some new tools for more fringe decks.

Trevor and Ian discuss what could be unbanned in EDH, specifically to help the current cEDH meta. Although the rules committee has previously not made changes with cEDH in mind, the new bracket system has brought more attention to cEDH in general and new considerations may be taken. Which cards would you like to see unbanned? What should potentially get banned?

Ian and Trevor are joined by their good pal, Frank to continue their journey of ranking the entire reserved list. They will not quit until the entire list is reviewed and ranked accordingly. This week there are a few all stars as well as absolute stinkers.

Trevor and Ian return after a bit of a hiatus to discuss the current state of the cEDH meta as of summer of 2026. It seems that the meta is split between turbo and Rhystic slop. They also recap a tournament Ian attended as it is a good example of the meta in general.

Trevor and Ian really dragged their feet on this set review, but here it is! Was Secrets of Strixhaven a set worthy of cEDH? Are there any new commanders worth running or any new staples? We found a few!

Ian and Trevor embark on a quest to deliver YOU the 3 most underrated decks in cEDH right now. These are decks that are actually emerging as tournament winners or have great potential. These aren't necessarily fringe decks, but decks that aren't getting the recognition they deserve in the current meta.

Also, this was recorded a month ago, so we realize Rog/Ishai has been getting some attention as well!

Ian and Trevor are back with a very special guest! Matt AKA TrogChamp joins us for a deep dive on Dina, Soul Steeper for cEDH. Golgari is not often seen in cEDH outside of Gitrog, but after looking at Dina, she's definitely got a place in the format!

Well folks...buckle up because part 6 quickly divulged into chaos. Ian and Trevor started things out before being joined by a recurring guest. Then a random surprise guest showed up. What is going on?! These boys can't agree on anything. Feelings were hurt, prides were lost, it was an all around great time. Join along with the laughs and the chaos of part 6.

Apologies for any audio problems! There were 4 of us at one point and some of us were sharing a mic. Just embrace it LOL.

Ian and Trevor are back with a semi relevant topic: MDFC Lands. Ian seems to think they have more of a home in cEDH while Trevor remains skeptical. But differing opinions lead to discussion! So here we are with another tier list.
