There is the tendency in our culture to declare that all religions are the same. Perhaps this concession comes from the desire that we should all get along. For sure, we all want to get along, but why abandon truth? If everything is true then nothing is true. If there is truth, then there must be things that are false.

We are exhorted in the book of Jude ...to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints (Jude 3). This is a clear challenge to keep the true faith Jesus has declared that his people are to be salt and light in the world. Jesus warned us not to lose our salinity or our shininess. It is God’s will that he be able to use us to bring his blessing into this world. This is the challenge given to us to keep the true faith.
