What happens when we choose to push the pain in our lives underground rather than allowing God to bring healing?

 Early this year, I asked the Lord for a word for the We Prophesy Conference in New Jersey. As I was waiting on the Lord, He gave me a word about what happens when the pain goes underground. 

What aspects of your life have you buried? We must understand that when God reveals what has been buried, it is an invitation for freedom and healing. However deep that pain is, whatever the depth of the grave of despair, God wants to set you free. And, in the process, He will not re-traumatize you.
