Despite looking like a slow week minus the cancelled Prague Challenger, it turned out to be another week of milestones: both Soonwoo Kwon and Facundo Diaz Acosta joined Pavel Kotov in the list of players winning 3 Challenger titles this year after winning the Wuxi and Francavilla al Mare Challengers, respectively. How about Calvin Hemery, whose 3-hour final was worth the wait for his long-awaited second career Challenger title? How did Franco Roncadelli's maiden Challenger singles title mean, as well as the youngsters competing at both Tour and Challenger-level tournaments last week? Follow this episode to check on their journeys from that week.
Small correction: Brandon Perez/Franco Ribero won the Brazzaville Ch doubles title against Michael Geerts/Skander Mansouri 6-3, 6-4. Their maiden Ch title together (first in any sector). I have mistaken one of the semis as the finals instead, apologies.
By the way, I've been covering the Challenger Tour and other lower-tier circuits as a fan, so if you enjoy the podcast or the overall work, I have a support link. No pressure at all, but it would help support this project.
