“It’s definitely different from when I was growing up,” Jared said. “It is challenging and it’s easy for parents to disengage because of social media, etc... We have to disconnect and learn to interact with people, and that’s something we’ve taught our deaf son. God has made everything different, and we have to realize and accept that fact that we’re not all the same. It would be boring if we were all the same.”
