Four bodies found in barrels lead to investigators with little more than their skeletal remains. Decades pass until a driven detective is sure a man in custody in California has a darker past than he's letting on. The investigation uncovers name changes, kidnappings, and the death of multiple women. While in prison he dies, leaving unanswered questions.
