We live in a time of a great changing that is accruing in our world. Our societies have become rebellious and wicked. Morality and commonsense have been rejected in the name of freedom and personal interest.
We have ignored the warnings of the impending danger and judgment that is at our heels and yet we continue to ignore the reality that there is a real God who is holy and righteous and will require every person to give an account as to why they have refused His salvation.
Revelation 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
One day we will all have to stand before the Lord and give an account for the decisions that we have made. Many who call themselves Christians have chosen to hide their sin. They have chosen to ignore the conviction of the Holy Ghost.
Many of you out there listening to this message right now have hidden sin in your life. Maybe you have cheated on your spouse? Maybe you have stolen from someone? Maybe you’re addicted to drugs or into pornography? Maybe you’re just in full rebellion to God’s Word and you’re tired of living by the truth?
Sin has no prejudice against its victims. Sin is absolutely lethal and contagious. When we choose to accept sin in our lives and ignore what the Word of God says about putting away the things of the world that will hold us in captivity and ultimately destroy us?
We have no right to hold God to His covenants and His blessings.
The Lord told Adam in the Garden of Eden do not eat of this particular tree in the garden. He said stay away from it!
Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
It doesn’t get any clearer than that! But! As King Solomon said there is nothing new under the sun!
Adam thought God was keeping him from something that was good for him. Adam like so many of the people of the world in our time now and generations past began to think in a selfish way, a prideful way! I have a right to do what I want! This is me! This is how I was born!
The changing had begun in Adam and so he did his will above God’s command and so our world is fallen now and we have death, disease, famine, wars, and sin beyond our understanding. All of this because of refusing warnings and instructions and the desires of our hearts overwhelm common sense and all understanding of wisdom.
Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Mankind wants to avoid death and judgment and so he fights to find a solution to eternal life. The solution is only found in Jesus Christ! Jesus is the only way to eternal life! Many choose to die in their sins rather than confessing the truth. Pride will destroy your integrity and send your soul to Hell.
That’s the truth that is not being preached today! Hell is real! The Great White Throne Judgment is real!
Many so called Christians today are arrogantly treading the path that leads to Hell.
Matthew 7:13-14 13 ¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
