The Word the Lord has really hit me with these past few weeks comes from: Exodus Chapter 3, verses 7 to 8, and it says: “The Lord said, ‘I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey…’” The Lord is speaking to Moses through the burning bush, revealing His plans to rescue the Israelites from slavery.
"He is a good Father, who sees, hears, feels and responds to His people!"This Word is so exciting and full of encouragement about who God is! In the beginning of the verse, the Lord says that He has seen the misery of His people. God is not a god high up in the heavens far away, but He is near and He wants to be a part of our lives. He sees what we are going through. The Lord is also a God who hears us. The Israelites cried out for God to rescue them for a very long time, and it may have seemed like God forgot or was far away, but the truth is, is that God has a plan! In order for God's perfect plan to be fulfilled, God had to bring Moses to a place in his life where God could use him. God's timing is always perfect, and He may not respond when you want, but when He does, it's perfect.
"God’s timing is perfect...and we get to know Him in the process."The Lord not only heard the cries and saw their misery, but He was concerned for His people. And the Lord's response to the suffering of the Israelites: He planned to take them out of Egypt and bring them to a good and spacious place flowing with milk and honey. God didn't just hear, see or feel, but He responded! I am so encouraged by this Word, because many times I have cried out to the Lord for something, and maybe the Lord has not moved on it; but, the Lord wants us to keep going, to keep crying out. His timing is perfect! He is a good Father, who sees, hears, feels and responds to His people!
"He is concerned with us, and He wants to be a part of our lives, leading us, and moving us closer to Him."Recently, my husband and myself were praying for something to break in our home. It definitely took a while, but the beauty of it is we got a chance to know God a little more while crying out for the Lord to move. We also had an opportunity to see some things in ourselves that needed to go so that God could move. God’s timing is perfect, and He brings us through certain trials so that just like Moses, He can bring us to a place where He can use us, and we get to know Him in the process.
I love that this Word says that the Lord was concerned about their suffering. I want my children to know the character of God: He is loving and He is so good to His people. He is concerned with us, and He wants to be a part of our lives, leading us, and moving us closer to Him. I'm guilty of sometimes wanting to rush the process, but the real joy is in the journey!
Thank You, Lord! Who is like You? Who moves the way that You move and loves the way that You love? Thank You for every trial and thank You for every deliverance. Thank You for causing those trials in our lives to happen so that we get to know and grow in You. Amen. God bless, and have a wonderful week! I will speak to you again soon.
