The Chocobros Podcast

Hey bros!

Brandon has returned from the first episode to delight us with his witty banter and curmudgeonly nonsense. Also his brother Bill is joining us to discuss the new XIV expansion, Stormblood! We also get Bill’s origin involving VI.

Actually it sorta starts off as discussing Final Fantasy but quickly devolves into them having some drinks and us rambling about random shit. So it’s a pretty fun episode filled with informative stuff and dumb nonsense. Enjoy!

Ep 7 MP3

Hey bros!

Oh? What’s that? Is that a Scottish accent I hear?! Yes Mark has finally joined us! So we get his origin into the franchise. Clayton is also here so we all discuss the bummer that was the 30th Anniversary Event and all the weird things they announced. At least we have a date for The Zodia of Age..

And of course it wouldn’t be the typical trainwreck if we didn’t have audio problems.. which we did. Sorry about that. I hope you enjoy regardless!

Ep 6 MP3

On today’s episode…

Blood and tears will be shed. Friendships will be broken. Lives will be ruined. Sike! We’re just hanging out, discussing our personal Pros and Cons of the XIII trilogy. I brought returning guest John “Blackmage” Martin and new guest Jesse “The Beer Lovin’ Moose Wrestling” White. We get to hear Jesse’s FF origin. Also we briefly give our Top 3 Final Fantasy games. Please enjoy!

(Sidenote, In the very beginning I say I’m recording this as video but the program I was using did not work. I will hopefully have this as a video podcast soon. Thank you for your patience!)

Episode 5 MP3

Hey Everyone!

Your ChocoBoss is flying solo on this episode with special guest John “Blackmage” Martin, from the wonderful YouTube cooking show Arianna’s House!

The main topic is: Action RPGs vs Traditional RPGs

We also get John’s origin story with the series and how he ate a weird, creepy duck egg thing recently. Oh, also it was raw apparently. Don’t worry, he’s not dead. But it’s still gross. Enjoy!

Episode 4 MP3

May 8, 2006 was the day that began this long, arduous wait for what would eventually become Final Fantasy XV. Versus XIII was to be a “spinoff” of sorts, to accompany Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Agito (Later changed to Type-0). All part of a series called “Fabula Nova Crystallis”. That obviously fell through but here we are now, after 10 years, finally playing the final product of what was born from Versus XIII.

Clayton and I discuss our impressions of the game and also some other minor news, including a rumored 30th Anniversary Collection and Ni No Kuni 2! Please Enjoy!

So I finally got Clayton on (still no Mark) and we’ll be hearing his “Origin” story. Then we dive deep into everything we know about Final Fantasy XV so far. From combat to the amazing soundtrack, our arduous journey to getting our hands on this possible masterpiece is almost at hand! Please be excited!

(Full disclosure – The audio is not up to par in some areas. We attempted to repair it the best we could but Clayton sounds far away at times. We apologize for this inconvenience and we will correct this in the future. Thank you!)
